"I take advantage of the New Year's day which I advance, to give you some news of our little train [...] You have t'on dit tasted the charming attitudes and the varnished shoes of my beautiful friend, Louis. You should find him an heiress and throw her into his arms [...] I will redeem this meanness by wishing you a Happy New Year so serious that I beg you to distribute the slices to the whole family [...]".
