An 1867/77 model Werndl carbine with bayonet
dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Austria, Round, rifled, 10,8 mm cal. barrel at the nozzle, (clean bore, clearly visible groove), with foresight, foldaway and adjustable rear sight, remains of the markings 'F.ERB. FRUIWRTH' at the base, double-headed eagle and 'C.a.' markings. Rolling block bolt, working mechanic. Lock with working mechanics, lock plate dated '870' and imperial eagle mark. Full, wooden stock. Iron mounts with some pitting. Ring nut bayonet (length 56.5 cm.) with spiral groove, diameter slightly wider than the barrel. Attached are notes on the marks collected by the owner. length 99,5 cm.
