Description
Two mid-19th century bone fans, both lithographed, the first featuring a musical gathering in the hills, with either side a vignette of a man in regional costume, possibly Spanish, the reserves with classical designs in gold, the verso in similar but lighter fashion; the second fan, in similar style but with more detailed upper guards, the leaf with a central cartouche showing a gathering of important people in medieval dress, additional figures enclosed within arches to the reserves, the decoration with a flavour of Moorish culture.
