Large incense burner CHINA - 19TH CENTURY Square, made of copper and cloisonné enamel, sides decorated with stylized flowers and lotuses amid their foliage on a turquoise ground. The sides are inlaid with round celadon nephrite medallions engraved with a coiled chilong and pieces of turquoise. The feet are shaped like standing lions holding rings. The edges are adorned with lotus flowers adorned with turquoise cabochons. The openwork lid features Buddhist symbols amid the clouds, topped with makara and a frieze of lotus petals. The upper part is adorned with a lion, an elephant, a reclining ram, and a dragon. The knob of the lid is shaped like a dragon in the clouds, the edges like qilin heads.
