Richard GUINO (1890-1973). Endive nuns, circa 1960. 6 red chalk drawings, various sizes. When Auguste Renoir became handicapped by deforming rheumatism, he called on Richard Guino to create his sculptures. The young Catalan artist spent several years working alongside the master of Essoyes. This collaboration led to the creation of a series of pieces considered to be one of the peaks of modern sculpture, with works such as Venus with an Apple, Venus Victrix and The Judgment of Paris.
