Gd in-8, 72 p., blue morocco, spine ribbed with gilt fleurons, gilt fleurons on the corners of the boards, gilt title on the upper board, double gilt fillet on the edges, inner gilt lace, gilt edges. Binding signed by David. Edition limited to 500 copies, this one of the copies on tinted paper of the main edition. The text dedicated to the Paris Opera star dancer Léontine Beaugrand (1842-1925) is illustrated in the frontispiece with an etched portrait by Eugène Abot (1836-1894) and a typographical frame in different colours. Provenance: Edme-Armand-Gaston Audiffret-Pasquier (1823-1905) according to the bookplate with the engraved figure pasted on the back cover. This bookplate with the motto Cum libris semper et ubique jucunda societis is also attributed to Chamberet or Cottin. Joints and nerves rubbed.
