Singing bird box: unique singing bird box, probably from nobility, Russian master's mark, punch B.C 1874/ Cyrillic master's mark N.N, ca. 1874, with original box Ca. 9.5 × 5.5 × 4.5cm, ca. 535g, silver, back punched, singing bird movement with winding mechanism in the bottom, release via small slide in the front, probably Swiss movement, spring lid with very fine quality painting, probably painted on ivory, representation of two putti releasing birds from a cage, in good condition, working, but needs service. The box is still in its original box, inside silk covered, printed with a gold monogram J.S, above it a gold crown. The punch (Cyrillic BC) is for Victor Sawinkow, Moscow 1874.
