Correspondence also transmits numerous data on the situation in the cities of the USSR (the dismissals of peasants, organization of the pioneers, situation in the kolkhozes, in Kuban, lists of the spies of GUEPEU which worked in Latvia. Alexander Kolberg leads the spying work and sends all the information obtained to Andrei Balashov. - LAS and typescript letters from A.Balashov to A.Kolberg signed "Alter Ego", "Izumets". About 500 pp. in-4. A.Balashov follows Kolberg's espionage and terrorism business and actively advises him by sending recipes of poisons etc. "We have developed a product for 100 people (...) to put 3-4 drops of an ampoule on a cigarette (...) you can also put it inside the cap where it touches the skin. Works by absorbing the skin, put 20-30 drops (...) it works quickly, gives convulsions and then... ''kaput'' ". Correspondence with a very confidential character, gives many information on the operation of the brotherhood as a military organization. - LAS and typed letters from A.Balashov to A.Kolberg. Kolberg's case becomes more and more dangerous, the brothers try to bring him back to France to accuse him directly of espionage. Kolberg is in danger of making a mistake, Balashov tries to control his decisions and protect him.
