Porcelain. Brand: absent. Height 21.5 cm and 21 cm. Conservation: good; the bases of the busts on the column have been restored; two insignificant chipping to the bust of Albertolli, , The two biscuit porcelain busts rest on a porcelain column glazed and decorated in blue. On the front of the column a cartouche shows the name of the personage: "Albertoli", that is Giacomo Albertolli (1742-1839) architect, decorator and teacher of Swiss origin and, respectively, "Canova", that is the painter and sculptor Antonio Canova considered the greatest exponent of Neoclassicism, Two busts like ours and one by Appiani are published by V.Brosio, Dortu Tinelli Richard, Porcellane e maioliche dell'Ottocento a Torino e Milano, Milano 1972, p. 124, tables XIV-XVI, , The Milanese ceramic factory of the brothers Carlo and Luigi Tinelli "San Cristoforo" had a very short life - 1833-1840 - and was taken over in 1840 by Giulio Richard. At the end of the century (1896) the factory became part of the "Richard-Ginori Ceramic Company".
