Description

Albertville 1992. Opening ceremony ©Jean-Claude Pichon/L'Équipe 8 February 1992. Like these acrobats, time seemed to stand still in Albertville for two hours. The time of an opening ceremony that invites a world in turmoil (collapse of the Soviet bloc, break-up of Yugoslavia) to enter the Winter Games as if in a fairy tale. French choreographer Philippe Decouflé has summoned 3,000 artists, athletes and amateurs, dressed them as elves, fairies and even snow globes to create a magical and poetic show. Even the presentation of the teams, declaimed in alexandrines, even if they have only one representative: "It is now with unparalleled happiness that we see the team of the Séné- gal enter..." Single later print run. Edition 1/1. Printed on Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta Satin 300g paper. Flamant art frame. 80 x 120 cm
