Description

Mexico City 1968. French delegation at the opening ceremony © André Lecoq/L'Équipe 12 October 1968. The first event of the Olympic Games was the parade of delegations at the opening ceremony. According to the report in "L'Équipe", the pop elegance of the 25 French athletes (out of 147 Frenchmen), half air hostess, half "Demoiselles de Rochefort", had an effect. Swimmer Christine Caron (right) is probably feeling a special kind of stress: in a few hours she will be the first Frenchwoman to carry the tricolour flag at the Olympics. Single later print. Edition 1/1. Printed on Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta Satin 300g paper. Flamant art frame. 40 x 60 cm
