SANTIAGO DIEGO SALADO (Jerez de la Frontera, 1965). "Nude", 1996. Oil on canvas. Signed and dated in the lower left corner. Measurements: 61 x 51 cm; 83 x 74 cm (frame). Santiago Diego Salado is an Andalusian artist with an international career. His artistic beginnings took place in the eighties. During this period, he was part of one of the groups of artists, from Jerez de la Frontera, with more artistic projection. This promotion meant his move to New York City, where he established his studio and developed most of his professional career as an artist. His work is characterized by the use of a figurative language that delves into a slight abstraction, defined by a broad and free brushstroke. Dominated by the presence of great color, the compositions of Santiago Diego Salado, do not abandon the interest in drawing.
