DOXA (Searambler Sub 300 T Automatic / Silver ref. 11899.4), circa 1969 Imposing and mythical professional diver's watch of barrel shape marketed in 1967, the Doxa Sub was the first 100% professional diver's watch. Captain Jacques-Yves Cousteau was one of its great adepts, so much so that he distributed it in the United States. Brushed steel case with crown (not original) and screwed caseback (Doxa sailboat logo, signed and numbered). Unidirectional and oversized notched bezel (for a better grip with the diver's gloves), with double orange graduation on 60. Silvered dial with large painted indexes, stylized second hand, orange spatula hands for the minutes and skeleton hands for the hours (luminescent), date window at 3 o'clock. Vintage steel bracelet with slide buckle (short), an orange leather strap and a vintage rubber strap. Movement: Mechanical self-winding calibre signed DOXA / Eta 118 Swiss calibre. Diameter: 43 mm. Condition: Very good (vintage pencil case).
