JAEGER-LECOULTRE (REVERSO VINTAGE CHEMIN DE FER / YELLOW GOLD - BLACK N° 269260), circa 1944 Exceptional Reverso watch of prestige Swiss manufacture for the market of export (probably for India) in yellow gold 9 carats (375 thousandth). These pieces were originally used by English officers during their polo games. Rectangular reversible case with grooved bezel and clipped case back (Patented S.G.D.G, hallmarked and numbered 269260 on both cases, back and cover). Black lacquered dial with round recessed track with large central seconds hand, painted Arabic numerals, yellow gold sword hands. Jaeger-LeCoultre crocodile strap (Crocodylia spp. CITES appendix II B) with gold-plated Jlc buckle. Movement: Hand-wound mechanical calibre signed JAEGER-LeCOULTRE / 11 LSC (437) - 15 jewels no. 130889 (with its soft iron dust cover, number 260). Swiss. Size: 23 x 38 mm.
