HERMÈS. Birkin bag 35 cm. In orange ostrich leather with two short handles and flap closure, secured with a strap and silver palladium hardware, characteristic of this model. The interior, in leather of the same color, has a zippered pocket. Four protective rivets on the base. With protective Hermès plastic rain covers. In good condition. It has very light marks of use. Measurements: 35 x 30 x 17 cm. The Birkin bag by Hermès takes its name from the English singer and actress Jane Birkin, muse of designers year after year, who during a meeting with Jean Louis Dumas, president of the firm, on a plane, explained to him that she could not find a comfortable travel bag where she could keep her baby's bottles, book, etc., and that was also easy to open. Together they designed the Birkin bag to meet Jane's needs, resulting in an accessory that has become one of the most desired icons in the fashion world. The spectacular bag has a spacious interior with multiple pockets and, as Jane Birkin wished, it is easy to open. It is also a very difficult bag to obtain, since very few units are manufactured and there is a long waiting list to acquire it, which can be even years. This fact, together with its sober and classic, timeless design, turned the Birkin into a myth and a collector's item of the consecrated Hermès firm.
