Works. Amsterdam, Jacques Le Jeune, 1675. 5 vols. - Followed by] La Vie de Molière. Second edition. Amsterdam, Henri Desbordes, 1705. 1 vol. 6 volumes in-16, brown morocco basane, gilt fillet, spine decorated with gilt fillets, gilt edges (19th century binding). Collective factitious Elzevirian edition. All the plays are from the A edition - including Sganarelle (1662), La Cocuë imaginaire [by Donneau de Visé] (1662), Le Malade imaginaire (1673), Georges Dandin (1669) - except for the following four, in 1675, which are from the C edition: L'Amour médecin, Amphytrion, Les Fourberies de Scapin and Psyché. On the other hand, Le Tartuffe is dated 1669 (Guibert, p. 699). From the Ernest Ridley Debenham library, with bookplate. Light staining on the first title page, slight rubbing on the spines, some corners slightly dulled. Finely restored tear to the title page of L'Imposteur ou Tartuffe.
