Motte). First edition.
These four volumes form volumes VI to IX of Brantôme's Mémoires, which were published from 1665 to 1722.
A very fine copy with full margins, carefully bound in blue morocco.
Motte was a worker at Trautz's before taking over in 1879, but he gave up the workshop a few months later to Thibaron-Joly.
