This video (directed by Jean-Gabriel Tordjman) presents a monumental head (sculpted by Georges Saulterre) that an ivy clutches in its lianas. The sculpture looks like an ancient relic submerged by nature. Little by little, it becomes deformed, because it is through water that we end up perceiving it. The ivy becomes in turn marine vegetation. Sculpted fish evolve around her, while the sculpture of a young girl with seaweed hair appears, then a woman half swallowed by a fish. In this poetic and nostalgic ballet, it is the maritime origin of life on Earth that is evoked.
