First copy n°1 on old japon containing a triple suite of engravings.
The title page mentions the handwritten name of Maurice de Becque.
A very rich copy:
- a L.A.S. dated 22 December [19]26,
- a suite of 10 plates of original sketches in watercolour, gouache and coloured pencil, which were used for the chapter headers. Each plate is signed in pencil.
- An exceptional set of 60 original signed drawings used for the illustration of the out-of-text plates, all enhanced with watercolour and Indian ink.
