Property from an Important Private Collection Anthology of poetry, copied by Sayed ‘Ali, Qajar Persia, dated 1252 AH/1836-37 AD, Persian manuscript on paper, 78 leaves plus 2 flyleaves, 13ll. to the page, written in black shikastah within 2 columns, ruled in red, gold, black and blue, text occasionally separated by golden flower scrolls, gold and polychrome opening bifolium, in a contemporaneous lacquer binding decorated with flowers and birds, Text panel 10.5 by 5.5cm.; leaf 14 by 8.8cm. Condition report: In good condition, the margins overall clean, minor stains and smudges, minor traces of glue and tape in the opening bifolium, minor scratched to the binding, as viewed.
