Property from an Important Private Collection A fine signed Qajar lacquered papier mache mirror case, attributed to Muhammad Baqir Isfahani, Iran, dated 1205(?)/1790-91AD, rectangular, decorated in polychrome and black to the cover and reverse with a bird perching amidst a spray of roses, the borders with vines of alternating rosettes and paired foliate motifs, the hinged cover opening to reveal a mirror, the inside of the door with an iris and butterfly, the reverse similar to the front cover, 27.5 x 18.2cm.
