A Roman bronze dagger sheath element, circa 1st century A.D., with the principal part of one side of the sheath remaining, the surface engraved in the first and third decorative fields depicting a female head within a roundel, the second and fourth fields engraved with a triangular device, foliate decoration in the remaining fields, a disc expansion at the tip of the sheath with a hold for the terminal rivet, 22cm. long and a later bronze dagger, the broad, flat blade tapering to the narrow tip, the flattened grip tightly bound with cream coloured rope, 26cm. long (2) Provenance: Private family collection formed in the 1970s Please refer to department for condition report
