Description
Large enamelled copper offering dish with polychrome decoration on a white background. In the center a medallion of three ky-lin playing with balls of wool in a frieze of Greek, the marli decorated with fruits, flowers (pomegranates, peonies, peaches, melon, grapes ...) and insects (butterflies and dragonflies). The edge is decorated with a frieze of Tam Son. The reverse side is decorated with small stylized dragons imitating scrolls. Vietnamese work from Hué, mid-19th century. Diameter : 41,3 cm.
