Description
Pair of armchairs with moulded and carved beech frame with flowers and shells in the centre of the crosspieces and the legs, the back slightly violoné, the armrests with removable cuff resting on sinuous supports, the belt scalloped. The whole resting on four arched feet (missing the tenon of a cuff, small restorations). Stamped "PERE GOURDIN" on the back crossbar for Jean Gourdin, known as Père Gourdin, active in the rue de Cléry between 1737 and 1763. Louis XV period. Brick red velvet upholstery.
