Service of nine dessert plates with the figure of Jules Verne. No mention of the manufacturer. These are Jules Verne's personal dessert plates, six of which are on display at the Maison Jules Verne in Amiens. No doubt, Jules Verne and his family have tasted in these plates the famous beaten cake, this Picardy speciality even better when accompanied by rhubarb jam... Very nice condition. Of rather sober construction, these plates are superb, and to speak about "rarity" about them would be ridiculous, because, until now, they had never been proposed in public sale. It is safe to assume that between the six plates from the Maison Jules Verne and the nine offered here, the service is almost complete...
