Description

A pair of large bronze sconce lanterns, formerly gilt, repainted in grey-black. The plate depicting a lion's head with a heraldic forearm holding a leafy torch supporting the octagonal lantern decorated with friezes of ribbons and twisted pearls or flower buds, and topped by a crown. Second half of the 19th or beginning of the 20th century. Electrified, with a socket, reported. With two white frosted glass globes in the shape of flames, later. Total height: about 150 cm. Wear to the paint. Globes cracked, with many chips at their base.
