DAUNIAN CRATER
DATE: V-IV sec. a.. C.
MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: depurated chamois clay, ivory mottling; orange paint; modelled by fast lathe.
Krater with brim, cylindrical neck, distinct from the truncated cone body, disc foot, stick handles set obliquely on the shoulder; decorated on the shoulder with a tremolo motif and with bands and fillets on the body.
PRODUCTION: Daunian banded pottery.
STATE OF CONSERVATION: intact, encrusted
