DAUNIAN KANTHAROS
DATE: V-IV sec. a.. C.
MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: chamois depurated clay, ivory mottling; orange paint; modelled by fast lathe.
Kantharos with flared rim, distinct from the ovoid body, disc foot, ribbon handles set vertically on the shoulder; decorated on the shoulder with a horizontal ivy shoot and with bands and fillets on the body.
PRODUCTION: Daunian banded pottery.
STATE OF CONSERVATION: intact, encrusted
