ASKOS DAUNIUS
DATING: Subgeometric Daunian III, IV cent. b. C.
MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: depurated chamois clay, ivory mottling; brown and brownish paint; hand modelled.
Askos with brim indistinct from the cylindrical neck, elongated globular body, with conical rear end with spout, flat bottom; ribbon handle set longitudinally on the back, decorated with horizontal bands with wave meander, interrupted meander, braid and phytomorphic motifs.
