CORINTHIAN ETRUSCAN OINTMENTARY
DATING: VI century B.C. C.
MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: yellowish figulina clay, brown glaze decoration, subdivided in paonazzo paint, details rendered in graffito, modelled by fast lathe.
Disc-shaped spout, short cylindrical neck with concave profile, distinct from the flattened lenticular body, low ring foot.
DECORATION: on the lip concentric circles and radial dashes, on the shoulder panther standing on the left with twisted tail and hanging tongue, swan standing on the left with wings closed on the back; in the field fillers consisting of rosettes of various sizes; on the bottom concentric circles.
PRODUCTION: Etruscan-Corinthian pottery, cycle of rosettes.
STATE OF CONSERVATION: integrally reassembled from fragments
