DUE VASI BANG CHIANG

TWO BANG CHIANG VASES DATE: 600-300 BC. MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: brown depurated clay, white mottling, red paint, modelled by slow lathe. Olla with high everted rim, cylindrical neck, fold at the base of the neck, ovoid body, cylindrical foot; olletta with flared rim, globular body, truncated cone foot DECORATION: decorated with engravings in geometric designs and lines in red. PRODUCTION: Thai ceramics, Bang Chiang culture. STATE OF CONSERVATION: one intact, the other with a gap on the lip.
