THREE BANG CHIANG VASES
DATE: 600-300 BC.
MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: brown depurated clay, white mottling, red paint, modelled by slow lathe.
A vase on a wide trumpet foot with ovoid body and flared rim; olla with high everted rim, cylindrical neck, fold at the base of the neck, bitronchonical body, cylindrical foot; gemino vase consisting of two globular ollae joined by a cylindrical element
DECORATION: one decorated with stylized phytomorphic motifs, one with geometric engravings.
PRODUCTION: Thai ceramics, Bang Chiang culture.
STATE OF CONSERVATION: two intact, one damaged
