THREE BANG CHIANG VASES
DATE: 600-300 BC.
MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: brown purified clay, white mottling, red paint, modelled by slow lathe.
A vase on a wide trumpet foot with globular body and flared rim; olla with everted rim, cylindrical neck, compressed globular body; gemini vase consisting of two globular ollae joined by a cylindrical element
DECORATION: one decorated with stylized phytomorphic motifs, one with geometric engravings.
PRODUCTION: Thai ceramics, Bang Chiang culture.
STATE OF CONSERVATION: intact, slight gap on olla
DIMENSIONS: h. from cm 20 to cm 7,5; diam. of mouth from cm 16 to cm 13,5
