TWO KULLI VASES
DATE: 2500-1,900 BC.
MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: pinkish clay, chamois mottling, brown, red, green and white varnish, modelled by fast potter's wheel.
Terracotta truncated cone bowl painted with deer standing on the left with long horns and geometric motifs; lenticular vase with small upper opening, decorated on the shoulder with a lion standing on the left and a bird (2)
PRODUCTION: Kulli culture, Nindowari, Baluchistan, Pakistan
STATE OF CONSERVATION: the cup is intact, the vase partially reassembled.
