In-12°. Dark red half-maroquin with corners (Durvand). Smooth spine decorated with a beautiful gilt and cold decoration. Gilt thread on the boards. T. mouch. Covers and spine in mint condition. Modern slipcase. First edition printed in 270 copies; here, among the first papers (10 Whatman, 10 Japon and 50 Chine), 1/10 copies numbered on Whatman and initialled by the publisher. This copy is decorated with an original watercolour by Alexandre Graverol (1865-1949), a symbolist painter and engraver, close to Puvis de Chavannes and Paul Verlaine. Remarkable Art Nouveau composition finely colored and decorated with a medallion representing Alphonse Daudet. Very attractive copy!
