The play is preceded by a Preface by the editor (this editor is Voltaire himself) and a Dedicatory Epistle to M. de Voltaire signed Gabriel Grasset et associés (it is also by Voltaire). With handwritten corrections in the text. On the title page, a handwritten note specifies: "Les corections [sic] qui sont dans cette pièce sont de la main du secrétaire de M. de Voltaire, ce qui rend cet exemplaire très précieux. It comes from the Le Kain estate". Perfect condition.
