Rives Childs, in his bibliography of Restif's works, states on p. 234: "The text is identical with the original edition and contains 252 letters, correctly numbered. In our copy, the table of letters of T.IV has been bound at the time at the head of T.II. The inner title page of part 4 (T.II) has not been bound in. Sporadic foxing and staining in each volume. A fine copy in a well preserved contemporary binding.
