[ATLAS FERRARIS] DU CHESNOY Louis - CHANLAIRE Pierre Grégoire [Chorographic map of Belgium in sixty-nine sheets based on Ferraris' map...] Paris, Delaval, year II (1794-1796) Atlas of 65 sheets in 17 folding maps lined with grey cloth. In a tan calfskin case with red chagrin author and title pieces. Edition entirely engraved on copperplate by Miss Bellanger at the same scale of one line for 100 toises as Ferraris' large map, with the complete 65-leaf map as shown on the assembly chart. The latter allows to situate the atlas of Belgium in the 180 ff. atlas of France published earlier and shows the relationship between the 2 editions of the map of France and the 2 editions of the map of Belgium. The work knew many editions. It is here in its first edition. A very nice copy.
