Including: Farrère expresses his deep affection for his friend. He is constantly concerned about his health, regularly asking for news of him. The Navy is a major topic of discussion, as much for Farrère's professional advancement as for questions of strategy and armament... Letter (1911) from London, mentioning a forthcoming sailing. Letter (1910) enclosing a letter from a bookseller about repaying debts. Letter (1910) in which Farrère speaks of joining Louÿs for a few days. Letter (1910), gives his opinion on general officers, who he thinks should be 20-22 years old. Letter 9-08-1910, talks about his job and the state of the French navy. Letter 24-8-1910, military strategy in the context of a potential confrontation with Germany, French backwardness in armaments. Letter 9-11-10, transcription of account of a shipwreck.
