BACLER D'ALBE (L. A. G.). Ménales pittoresques et historiques des paysagistes, collection of engravings in line and in acqua-tinta... In Paris, with the author, Leblanc, year XI - 1803. In-4, [2] f., X-48 p., [1] f., pl., contemporary binding in aubergine basane, smooth spine, pale green title-piece, large gilt irons, gilt edges (some rubbing, one corner blunted, brown spots, light spotting in the margins of a few plates and on the last one) 36 plates of landscapes, in aquatint, after painters such as Nicolas Poussin, Le Lorrain, Teniers General Bacler d'Albe, close to Napoleon I of whom he was one of the main strategic advisers, directed the Dépôt de la Guerre et des Fortification where he distinguished himself in the field of cartography. He was also a painter and engraver.
