La Fièvre. Paris, Gallimard, 1965. In-8 mounted on tabs, half-hippopotamus au naturel, joint bordered with a mosaic kromekote scroll, mastic box boards, horizontal incisions dividing the entire field into six juxtaposed strips, author's name and title pushed in palladium parallel to the spine, edge-to-edge lining of the same mastic box, grey japanese endpapers, untrimmed, cover and spine, sleeve and case sheathed in the same box (H. "Their material," writes the author, "is drawn from familiar experience. Every day, we lose our heads because of a little temperature, a toothache, a temporary dizziness. We get angry. We come. We get drunk." (p. 8). Sumptuous binding by Hugo Liesen, all in textures and contrasting materials.
