All probably to Christian Rhodius, co-partner of the lead white factory Burgbrohl founded by Bischof with the Rhodius brothers in 1827, mainly about business matters concerning the joint company. The letter of 1849, addressed "to the honourable union Bischof und Rhodius Söhne zu Linz und Sinzig contains a protocol of Bischof signed by all partners concerning an intention to sell the factory. "According to the minutes of Nov. 11, 1848, at the trade meeting held by the partners at Burgbrohl, it has been determined that the business contract expiring on July 15 of this year is not to be prolonged; however, since it will be difficult to find a buyer for the white lead factory etc. in the current difficult times, everything is to be prepared until such time as a favorable opportunity presents itself in order to be able to obtain the most favorable conditions for a possible sale...". - Partly stained, partly damaged by opening.
