V, 968. first edition - Wirsung (1500 or 1505-1571) was physician in Augsburg, where he also practiced and at the same time held the function of a Lutheran clergyman. He was an intimate of Conrad Gessner. His work, which he published for the first time in Heidelberg in 1568, appeared there in 2 editions, then experienced a total of 16 editions from 1577 to 1677 and was also translated into Dutch. - Without front fly. Throughout somewhat browned, occasional lightly winged, title-page with backed marginal cutout (without loss of text), end with water streak.
