The woodcuts with Hebrew, Syriac and Greek designations are based on designs by P. Hille and were created by Franz Friedrich. - Two dat. ownership inscriptions ("1625", "1828") on recto and one ("1885") on verso, there also stamped. - Occasionally with ink smudges and hs. annotations. Slightly finger- and brown-stained. Upper margin a little bit browned. Sheet 25-26 with small tear in lower margin. In places slightly creased in the corners, the last leaves somewhat dampstained in the margins and backed in places. - Contemp. blindstamped leather, dated 1579 (spine damaged, joints brittle, rather spotty, bumped and rubbed, the date corrected by modern ballpen to "1578", straps missing). Some finger- and brownstains, some browning in upper margin. Lf. 25-26 small tear in lower margin. Some slightly creased edges, last lvs. with dampstain on side margin and some repairs.
