With a clay jar, 3 facsimile scrolls placed in the jar (exactly as the original Dead Sea Scrolls were found), and a book bound in soft leather (with illus.) containing the amazing story of the Dead Sea Scrolls and their discovery. In original cloth-covered box with Hebrew and English titles on a metal plate attached to the lid, with burgundy silk inside the box. (This partly more heavily scuffed). Interior good. One of 400 copies - The Dead Sea Scrolls, accidentally found in 1947, are considered by many to be the most important archaeological find of the twentieth century. - In very good condition. - Original linen covered box with title in Hebrew and English on metal plate fixed on top lid. Striking burgundy silk on inside of the box. Casket containing an earthenware jar, 3 facsimile scrolls placed inside the jar (just the way the original Dead Sea Scrolls were found), and a soft leather bound book telling the amazing story of the Dead Sea Scrolls and their discovery.
