Large collection of over 4500 Casino Jetons. The collection of more than 4,500 casino chips from all over the world makes the heart of passionate collectors beat faster, who are always on the lookout for exceptional pieces. The chips come mainly from casinos in Europe, Africa, America, Asia and Australia. The size of the collection and the large number of complete token sets make it a unique collector's treasure that is no longer available anywhere. - The oldest pieces, for example from Siam (Thailand), date back to the early 19th century. They are made of porcelain and hand-painted with various patterns. Until around 1910, they were not only used for gambling, but also as a means of payment in opium houses. - Among the highlights of the collection are also the tokens from the ╔year of the founding of Austrian casinos (Casino Austria, 1934).╗ The set is complete and consists of tokens with value units of 50 ÖS, 100 ÖS, 500 ÖS, 1,000 ÖS and 5,000 ÖS. Exceptional pieces are also the Astro welcome tokens by the Austrian artist ╔Hundertwasser with the 12 signs of the zodiac.╗ This set is also complete in the collection. - Very rare tokens also come from the German casino in Baden-Baden. They are made of mammoth horn. They date from the early 1830s with value units of 5 florins, 10 florins, 300 florins and 500 florins. There is also another set of tokens made of mammoth horn, covered with leather and hand-painted with a floral pattern. Particularly beautiful is also the light red mother-of-pearl token (value unit: 1,000 Reichsmark) from 1924 as well as the ╔Baccara token (value unit 200 Reichsmark) with set diamond 1 ct,╗ purity vs, River, Le Grande Cercle from 1940. - There are also exceptional pieces from America. These are a large number of ╔antique "gambling chips",╗ some of which were used in illegal gambling halls. Antique chips include the American Indian Lucky Swastika poker chips circa 1920, first used in New Orleans. A swastika (from svastika "lucky charm") is a cross symbol with bent or curved arms. Such symbols have been recorded in numerous forms for about 600 years in Europe and Asia, and more rarely in Africa and Central America. The tokens have no connection to the time of the 2nd World War. - The extensive collection of ╔Poker Chips╗ with almost 300 pieces is particularly impressive. - From the USA, for example, comes the series of 20 chips with various motifs with pin-up girls from 1951 or the 7-part series from the Black Betty Tavern & Casino in Las Vegas. Also the collector chips of the winners of the European Poker Stars in Las Vegas are completely available. - We have only been able to show you a small part of the particularly exceptional pieces here.
