Bakthiar carpet, (cotton warp and weft, wool pile), Southwest Persia to Northeast Persian Gulf, ca. 1930 1.54 x 1.05 m The carpet is decorated with an elongated brown medallion, extended by two pendants, on an ivory background and a red background with polychrome stylized floral decoration. A brown border with a garland of multicoloured flowers surrounds the composition.
