KIPLING (Rudyard) - VAN DONGEN (Kees). The most beautiful tales of Kipling. Translated into French by Louis Fabulet and R. D'Humières. Paris: Henri Jonquières & Cie, 1926. - In-4, 298 x 218 : (3 blank ff.), 115 pp, (4 ff. last 3 blank). Grey cloth with bradel, folio pasted on the boards, reproducing the title page on the first and the title vignette only on the second, smooth spine, gilt head, untrimmed (Ateliers Laurenchet). Edition of 1920 reissued by Jonquières in 1926 with a renewed title. It is illustrated with 23 full-page and in-text compositions by Kees VAN DONGEN, coloured by the Marty workshop, as well as numerous black ornaments by the same artist. Edition at 300 copies. One of 250 on Rives vellum (n° 210). Edges of leaves slightly browned. Black ink stain on the bottom of the last three blank leaves.
