Purple morocco, wide black fillet framing a composition of stylized flowers mosaic of green, orange and red morocco, accompanied by numerous gilt cross-stripes, smooth spine decorated with stylized flowers mosaic with gilt ribs, and wide cold-stripes, double gilt fillet framing the inside, wood paper lining and endpapers, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved, case (René Kieffer). It is illustrated with 33 burin engravings by Jean-Émile LABOUREUR and includes an unpublished preface by Giraudoux. A nominative copy, specially printed for Mrs. Robert Schumann, very well bound by René Kieffer.
