Brown morocco, grey, purple and raspberry morocco foliage between two cold fillets on the boards, small cold flowers in the centre, spine ribbed and decorated in the same spirit, brown morocco frame inside, decorated with fillets and gilt motifs on the corners, brocaded silk lining and endpapers, double guards, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved, slipcase (René Kieffer) Very beautiful edition printed at only 115 copies on Marais wove paper, illustrated with 34 compositions by Albert ROBIDA, engraved in colours by A. Bertrand, including a vignette on the cover, a frontispiece, 9 headbands, 9 tailpieces, 5 portraits out of text and 9 plates. Copy number 71, specially printed for Julien Robert, very well bound by René Kieffer, enriched with a facsimile of a letter from Gaultier d'Aulnay to his mistress Marguerite de Bourgogne, as well as an invoice from René Kieffer dated 27 May 1914 for a binding of a copy of La Tour de Nesles for M. Gavoty. Spine slightly faded. A few pale freckles.
